You can edit, deprecate, and undeprecate extension concepts from Ext. Concepts on the XBRL toolbar.

Finding Extension Concept Use

First, find which fact uses the extension concept that you want to edit. Extensions that are removed from the document remain in the outline.

  1. Open the document and make sure Show XBRL is on.

  2. Choose an XBRL profile if one is not already applied.

  3. Click Ext. Concepts on the XBRL toolbar and get the name of the extension concept that you want to edit.

  4. Open the Locate XBRL panel on the right and search for the extension concept to see where it is used in the XBRL outline and document.

Editing Extension Concepts

To edit an extension concept:

  1. Click Ext. Concepts on the XBRL toolbar.

  2. Click the dropdown menu for the extension concept you want to edit and select Edit.

  3. Make the necessary changes and click the green checkmark to save the changes.

Deprecating Extension Concepts

Deprecate an extension concept when it should no longer be used. Deprecating it adds the next to the extension name so others know it is no longer used. However, you can undeprecate it to continue using it.

  1. Click Ext. Concepts on the XBRL toolbar.

  2. Click the dropdown menu for the extension concept and select Deprecate.

    If a fact is still using a deprecated extension concept, it turns yellow in Fact Details and the Deprecated symbol appears next to it.

  3. To undeprecate an extension concept, click the dropdown menu and select Undeprecate.
