What is a workspace?

Workspaces let you create seperate places in Wdesk for departments or teams to collaborate. They are how you organize teams and files into secure, controlled spaces.

Use workspaces to separate documents, data, and processes, ensuring the right people have the right access to information. An example is SEC and Legal teams each having their own, individual workspaces. Solutions for workspaces is how you enable additional functionality, such as XBRL, Filing, and more.


What is an organization?

An organization acts as the umbrella over all workspaces. Everyone belongs to the organization but may only be members of some workspaces. An organization admin can set options to manage settings for all workspaces in an organization, such as sign-in and security settings. To learn more, see Working with Organization Settings.
