Using the Support Binder Viewer

Once you've added attachments to your document, you can view and mark them up with callouts and tickmarks directly from the Attachments panel.

Opening an Attachment in the Viewer

In the Attachments panel, click the name of your attachment to expand it. Click the link to open the attachment in the read-only viewer. You will not be able to change text or content in the viewer. This will prevent tampering with the attachment.

The viewer will open in a separate browser tab. To view the document in full screen mode, click the arrow button at the top of the left-hand outline panel.

Using the Markup Tools

The viewer's toolbar has shapes and callouts you can use to mark up your document. Select a tool (Rectangle, Oval, Callout, Line, Arrow, or Text box) and click directly on the document where you want to mark it up.

Shapes can be selected and resized or moved around within the document. To change the color of a shape, select it and click the Color button.

After placing a text box, click within it to add text.

To delete a shape, select it and press the Delete key on your keyboard. You can also use Copy and Paste keyboard shortcuts with shapes.

Shapes and callouts can be annotated to add communication to them. When you create a shape, the Annotations panel opens on the right-hand side.

Use a call-out or text box if you want to add text that will be visible within the boundaries of the shape in the document area.

Click on the shape in the panel to expand it. Click Add Description and type in a description for the shape or callout. Hover over the shape and click the pencil icon to add a title. The title you type will appear at the top of the shape in the viewer.

Using Tickmarks

In addition to shapes and callouts, the support binder viewer has tickmarks you can use to mark up your document. Click the Tickmarks button, select which tickmark you'd like to use, and click anywhere in your document to place one.

Available tickmarks are Tick, Foot, CrossFoot, PreviousQuarter, PreviousYear, Recalculated, and Sum.

To delete a tickmark, select it and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

You can annotate your tickmarks with descriptions. After placing a tickmark in a document, it will appear in the right-hand Annotations panel. Click it to expand, then click Add Description. Type your description in the box.

You can move (or nudge) a tickmark by selecting it in the Annotations panel and using the arrow keys on your keyboard to move it. The arrow keys move a tickmark incrementally. To move it more quickly, hold down the Shift key while using the appropriate arrow key.

Hiding Markup

If you want to see your document without your markups, click the Hide button. It will then display as a Show button, which you can click to display your markups again.

Approving an Attachment

If no further work needs to be on an attachment, you can use the Approve option to add an approval stamp to the document. This stamp will include the word Approved, the approver's name, and the date of the approval. Once an attachment is approved, markup on the attachment can no longer be changed. If markup does need to be changed on an approved document, you can delete the approval stamp from the markup list on the right to make the attachment for markup available again.
